Chronic pain symposium

Be part of the LARGEST pain symposium of 2027!

CPS 2027 is not here to repeat what you already know.

It’s here to challenge it.

To sharpen how you think about chronic pain. To connect ideas across disciplines. And to give you the kind of insight that changes what you do on Monday morning — not just what you nod along to during the event.

This is where the conversation moves forward.

Designed to change how you think, not just what you know

We’re building CPS 2027 around one core idea: real understanding drives better decisions.

That means:

  • Dedicated Vet and Allied Professional streams — focused, relevant, and built for your day-to-day reality

  • High-impact sessions that cut through complexity and get straight to what matters

  • Case-led discussion that reflects the messy, real world — not perfect textbook scenarios

  • Sunday live panel debates where ideas are tested, challenged, and pulled apart properly

No filler. No fluff. Just thinking that sticks.

The themes shaping CPS 2027

The programme is still evolving — but the direction is clear.

We’re going deeper. Across species. Across systems. Across the uncomfortable questions.

Expect bold, practical exploration of:

  • Pain mechanisms — and what they actually mean in practice (not just theory)

  • The real relationship between pain, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing

  • Ageing, frailty, sarcopenia, and polypharmacy — and what happens when complexity stacks up

  • Weight and pain — physiology, communication, and the conversations clinicians actually struggle with

  • What we can genuinely learn from human medicine and lifestyle approaches to living with pain

  • MSK pain from both veterinary and human pain science perspectives

  • Feline pain updates and the nuances we still underestimate

  • Exotics and less commonly considered species — because pain doesn’t stop at cats and dogs

  • Head sensitivity, ocular pain, and misunderstood presentations

  • Rehab, hydrotherapy, and exercise as medicine

  • Emerging and evolving tools like laser, electrotherapies, and regenerative approaches

And we’re also pulling in under-discussed but critical areas like cognitive dysfunction and pain predisposition across populations.

(This programme is actively being built — and the best ideas will shape what makes the final cut.)

Sunday: where everything gets challenged

Sunday is not a wind-down.

It’s where everything gets real.

A full day of live panel discussions designed to tackle the hardest parts of chronic pain work — the things that don’t have neat answers.

We’re bringing together leading voices to debate:

  • Pain mechanisms — where science meets real clinical decision-making

  • Communication breakdowns — getting owners on board when belief doesn’t match reality

  • Weight and chronic pain — physiology, bias, and practical conversations

  • Learning from human medicine — and what actually translates into practice

  • Complex, multi-layered cases including exotics and rehabilitation challenges

These are not lectures.

They’re live conversations. Honest, dynamic, and intentionally challenging.

Why CPS 2027 matters

Because chronic pain is not simple.

And your learning shouldn’t be either.

You won’t just leave with notes.

You’ll leave with:

  • A sharper clinical lens

  • Better frameworks for decision-making

  • More confidence in difficult conversations

  • And a completely upgraded way of thinking about pain across patients and species

And here’s the important part

The first release tickets are the lowest price CPS 2027 will ever be offered at.

And no matter when you join us — all tickets include full access to the recordings. So if you miss a session live, you won’t miss the learning.

These early tickets are for the people who already know CPS delivers — and want in at the best possible price before the programme is finalised and prices rise.

If you’re coming, this is the moment to lock it in.

Aimed at allied and veterinary professionals, the Chronic Pain Symposium 27 has something for everyone!

With lectures from world renowned experts covering a wide range of topics, there is top notch education available - CPD hours to be determined.

This event is DEFINITELY for you if you are one of the professions listed here!

We do not plan to simply educate. We plan to ENGAGE, EDUCATE, ENABLE and EMPOWER every attendee to become competent advocates of chronic pain management.

Through innovative "buddying up" lecture delivery, where we host leaders in the field of pain management with their colleagues and friends, attendees will immerse themselves in knowledge sharing, discussion and a tight network of clinicians and therapists where the primary goal is welfare through excellent pain management.

This dynamic delivery style echoes the #OneTeam approach required to challenge chronic pain as a cause of suffering in our companion animals.

Effective chronic pain management requires a transdisciplinary approach...

An approach transcending of disciplinary boundaries, a sharing of knowledge, skills and decision-making, a focus on real-world problems, and the inclusion of multiple stakeholders including patients, their families and their communities.

#OneTeam represents CAM's core philosophy for managing osteoarthritis in dogs: a collaborative, evolving, and patient-centred approach to chronic pain care.

With the field of pain management rapidly advancing—from early identification and diagnosis to cutting-edge interventional treatments and compassionate palliative care—it’s unrealistic for any one clinician to remain current and experienced in every aspect.

Our patients and clients not only expect high standards of care, but also value personalised options and informed choice.

#OneTeam embraces this demand by promoting a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where professionals freely share knowledge, skills, and experience—amongst themselves and with clients.

By working together, we deliver a more comprehensive, adaptable, and empathetic standard of care.

Our motto is 'CONTENT COMES FIRST', so no matter who our sponsors might be, our event content is dictated by the CAM ethos. In an era of misinformation, delegates can be reassured that our talks will be evidence based and led by scientific advancements rather than marketing or money.

Tickets will be released in several pricing tiers throughout the launch period, with each tier available only until a set date.

When each pricing window closes, the price will increase across all remaining tickets to the next tier level.

To secure the lowest available price, we strongly recommend booking early. Once a pricing tier closes, it will not return, and all future purchases will be at the higher rate.

Prices will continue to increase on scheduled dates throughout the release period — so the earlier you book, the more you save.

*PLEASE NOTE* the content for vets, nurses, and allied professionals is different. Please ensure to purchase the correct ticket for your profession.
